Imagine walking the streets of Chicago and being told, “you look just like that Barack Obama State Senator guy.” Now imagine that less than a decade later, that State Senator guy becomes the President of the United States. That is exactly what happened to Reggie Brown.
From the working class neighborhoods in the shadows of Chicago's Midway Airport, Reggie fought through the deaths of his best friend and father, played a crucial role in raising his younger brother and sister, and attended the University of Illinois.
After touring the country as a professional model, lending his voice as an emcee at Galleria Marchetti and House of Blues Chicago, and winning an Emmy as a member of the NBC5 Street Team, Reggie Brown got the break he'd been waiting for - Barack Obama became the President of the United States, changing the course of Reggie's career.
These days, being “recognized,” or mistaken for the President, is an all day, every day event. Since the election, Reggie has spent a lot of his time learning to walk, talk, and act like President Obama – and he's gotten pretty good at it. Reggie's talents have been nationally recognized during his feature appearances on Inside Edition, NBC, ABC, CNN, WGN and Fox News. He even appeared as President Obama in Hollywood’s first film about the election,” The Effect,” due to be released this fall.
Most recently, Reggie took a position as International Spokesman for the Bank on Obama Campaign for Savings. In promoting Bank on Obama, a premium designer vinyl savings bank, Reggie hopes to spread the positive messages of savings and financial responsibility in these troubled economic times.
